Hayley Kenney
A Florida native, Hayley discovered paddleboarding one cold New England day shopping at REI. Once she tried it, she was hooked and began the journey towards bringing her love of human movement to the water.
Hayley was a competitive gymnast and cheerleader before discovering modern dance in college. She earned a BFA in Dance from Florida State University, where she began revolving her life around the study of movement. She’s had a fruitful professional performing and teaching career, working with world renowned choreographers and learning from master teachers. She is an Adjunct Professor in the Dance Departments at Dean College and Rhode Island College.
She is a Comprehensively Certified Pilates Instructor, a Movement Analyst, yoga practitioner, and has many varied continuing education credits. Hayley views codified movement practices as a way to organize ourselves physically and intellectually, cultivating clarity and agency in how we move through the world. In a culture increasingly flattened by technology, she sees embodied practices as essential to increasing our quality of life. In her class, you’ll encounter classic and novel movements and you’ll leave feeling strong, centered and fully embodied!
Hayley is also a Brand Executive for Pilates studios, wife to Russell (a vinyl record enthusiast), and mom to 3 amazing young adults.
