Katie is a High School English teacher and yoga instructor. She became a certified Yoga Instructor in 2018 and started teaching a few months after graduation. Katie teaches broga, Yoga Sculpt, Slow Flow and Vinyasa classes. Her yoga journey began in 2017 when she started taking broga classes as a way of getting her post- workout stretch. However, for Katie broga quickly became so much more than a time to stretch. It was a time for her to become introspective and to confront things that she had tucked away deep inside of herself . It was through her yoga practice and later her teacher training that Katie was able to heal the parts of herself that she didn’t know were broken. Her relationship with herself and others changed for the better and that’s what she hopes her clients will take away from her classes. She wants people to leave class feeling better than they did when they arrived, whether that be physically or emotionally. When Katie isn’t working, she spends most of her time outside : hiking, running, swimming etc. According to Katie, being outdoors and enjoying nature in all seasons is what keeps her sane.
