At Puente Grey, we’ll stop to eat our box lunch before continuing downstream to the confluence of the Grey and Serrano Rivers. The intensity of the river may vary depending on the wind. Horseback Riding at Lake Nordenskjöld or Short Hike at Laguna Azul
We’ll start the day with an early-morning yoga class in the yoga dome. After a healthy breakfast, we will depart EcoCamp for today's chosen adventure (please choose your preferred ADD ON when booking). Spend this day as you wish; Horseback Riding around Lake Nordenskjöld, Hike at Laguna Azul or spend some down time at EcoCamp allowing your body to recover from your hike with a nice relaxing day however you prefer to spend it. Today is on your own and all about YOU and what your body needs at this point in the trip. Please listen to your body and DO YOU:) Horseback Riding: One of the best ways to immerse yourself in the spectacular scenery of Patagonia is to ride through it on horseback. After yoga and breakfast at EcoCamp, we’ll begin around 9:30 AM with an induction talk before heading out on our 13 km journey. We will start by making our way around the immense Lake Nordenskjold, with its heart-achingly beautiful views of Mount Almirante Nieto and Cerro Paine, and pass over the ice-cold Patagonian rivers. Keep your eyes peeled for the local flora and fauna who call this land their home, including foxes, condors and dense groupings of lenga forests. We’ll pick up the pace on the beach, and stop for "lunch with a view" at Paine River. After a full day taking in the sights and sounds of the area, we will head back to EcoCamp around 3 PM. Laguna Azul: (Blue Lagoon). On our way to Laguna Azul, we will have the chance to enjoy some marvelous views of the famous Towers, and when we pass through the pampas (the Patagonian steppe) we may be lucky enough to spot more guanacos. After soaking up these beautiful surroundings, we will continue our drive to the Laguna Azul to have our lunch overlooking the lake followed by around two hours of gentle hiking. If the weather is on our side, we will enjoy a short meditation practice with a view of the three granite towers in the distance. After a full day taking in the sights and sounds of the area, we will head back to EcoCamp around 3 PM. We’ll close the day together with cocktail hour and a group dinner at EcoCamp.- Overnight in Ecocamp Patagonia Suite domes (Board: Breakfast-Box Lunch-Dinner) Horseback Riding or Laguna Azul, Yoga.
TBD
Lazo Weber Hike
We’ll start our day at 8:30 am with breakfast at EcoCamp and a moment to prepare our Box Lunch before boarding our bus at 10 am. Our ride takes us past the Lazo Weber Estancia where we’ll enter the National Park via Laguna Verde and begin our 12km hike. The Lazo Weber Trail is packed with native flora and wildlife all with the mountainous Paine range on our right. The hike is rather easy and apart from a few hills, the trail remains rather flat. We’ll stop for a moment to refuel by the magical Laguna Honda and enjoy the sights and sensations of the gorgeous landscape and fresh breeze. On our way, we will hike through one of the quietest forests in the national park, a fantastic opportunity to observe native trees such as the Lenga and the Coihue. The rest of our hike takes us to a lookout point (El Toro Lookout) where we’ll be wowed with a 360 degree view of the Paine mountain range, the Patagonian Andes, and a suite of rivers and lakes (including the Paine, Grey, and Serrano Rivers, and Lake Toro, the largest in the region). An hour’s descent towards Paine River will see us reunited with our van. But before we go back to EcoCamp, we’ll search for more animals to photograph and take a final moment to enjoy the scenery. At about 6:30 pm, we’ll arrive back at our “dome sweet dome”, ready to share in a tasty dinner and talk about our day hiking the Lazo Weber Trail. Optional Restorative Yoga Class before dinner.- Overnight in Ecocamp Patagonia Suite domes (Board: Breakfast-Box Lunch-Dinner), Trek, Yoga
TBD
Salto Grande & Condor Lookout
After breakfast and morning yoga class, we head westwards by van, taking a route along the southern shore of Nordenskjold lake. Our first stop is the magnificent Salto Grande waterfall, with its impressive cascading waters falling from Nordenskjold lake into Pehoe Lake. From here it's a short walk to Cuernos viewpoint, with a panoramic view of the mighty Horns. From the viewpoint, we drive to Pehoe Lake and begin the two-hour round-trip walk to El Condor Lookout from its shores. We go gently uphill through the steppe vegetation; a great opportunity to learn about the local flora. Here we witness the piercing blue of Pehoe Lake and the Paine river. On a clear day, we can see the immensity of the Southern Patagonian ice fields in the distance. We re-energize while taking in the whole Paine Mountain range and its stunning snow capped peaks. After a hearty lunch in this perfect location, we backtrack along the same trail and drive back to EcoCamp. Over dinner we will chat about our trip and share highlights. Spend time after dinner in the community dome hanging out with friends before our return home tomorrow.- Overnight in Ecocamp Patagonia Suite domes (Board: Breakfast-Box Lunch-Dinner), Waterfall Hike, Yoga
