Day 2 (Sunday)

October 23

Canyoneering Tour Pacuare River (Pacuare Outdoor Center Camp)

Today is a full day of adventure and fun and we will start by having breakfast at the hotel and packing our bags as we will be moving hotels today. Our final destination of the day will be the Pacuare Outdoor Center, home to the best views on the river of what National Geographic has as one of their top 5 most scenics on the planet.

First, before we get to the lodge, we will experience a canyoneering adventure where you will make your way down a canyon with five different waterfalls. These waterfalls range in height from 20 to 100' high!

After canyoneering, we will stop at one of our favorite restaurants with a view like none other and a chance to refuel before our day of rafting begins!!!

Once the food has settled, we will drive for 20 minutes to the infamous Pacuare River, where we will then raft 2 hours to arrive at the Pacuare Outdoor Center Lodge located in one of the most remote sections of the Pacuare River.

Once we arrive, we will take a 10-minute hike over two hanging bridges to the lodge, where you will be ready to relax with the view and relax to the sound of the jungle after a full day of adventure.

We end our active and adventurous day with yoga and dinner and get a good night's rest for another great day of adventuring together!

(Meals:  Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

Day 3 (Monday)

October 24

Yoga Class, Zipline, Tarzan Swing & Waterfall Nature Hike  (Pacuare Outdoor Center Camp)

Today we will start the day with a yoga class and then enjoy adventure activities for the rest of the day! So don’t worry, you will have the afternoon to relax and enjoy the lodge, but we also get in plenty of fun today.

You will be experiencing our infamous Tarzan Swing and Zipline course! The swing will have you swinging hundreds of feet over the river while staying attached in a harness, of course. We have a lower platform for those interested in a slightly less adventurous swing. We’ll also be riding on our zipline, so we are going to experience the Pacuare River from a whole other level!

After all the swinging, we are going to hike to a beautiful waterfall where we are going to have the chance to slide in and have some fun! This is about a one hour hike and will have its vertical challenges hiking down into the canyon. During the night we are going to relaxed around a bonfire.

(Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

Day 4 (Tuesday)
October 25 Rafting Pacuare Canyon and Travel to Caribbean Coast (Almonds & Corals Hotel)

Today will begin by rafting through the tropical rainforest and one of the most scenic areas of Costa Rica. We will pass by canyon walls that rise 300' and pristine 200' waterfalls that fall into the river. This is what we consider the most scenic area of Costa Rica and  thousands of past guests share our same opinion.

From here we begin our drive to the south Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica, where the jungle meets the sea! This unique area of Costa Rica is still very much rich in culture and no high rises like you might find on the pacific. Also the time of year during the end of October makes it one of the most pristine areas you will find in Costa Rica.

We will close out our day with yoga and dinner.

(Meals:  Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 5 (Wednesday)
October 26 Yoga Class & SUP  (Almonds & Corals Hotel)

In the morning we will begin the day with Yoga. After Yoga and Breakfast we will Paddleboard and have some fun at the Caribbean Coast as we spend the rest of our morning on the water paddling and swimming in the clear blue waters of the Caribbean, near Punta Uva - voted one of the prettiest beaches!

Lunch is a traditional dish of rice and beans cooked in coconut milk, one of the MOST delicious dishes you will ever eat according to the locals :)

In the afternoon you will have time to relax, visit the local and vibrant town of Puerto Viejo, walk along more beaches or take a nature hike with your guide. Choose your own adventure this afternoon!  Dinner on own.

(Meals: Breakfast & Lunch)

Day 6 (Thursday)
October 27 Travel to Arenal Volcano Area (Arenal Manoa Hotel)

After a goodbye to the coast we start the drive to the North Plains, the home of Arenal Volcano. This will be around a 4-hour drive but when we arrive to the Arenal Volcano, you will see this perfectly cone-shaped volcano that will make the long drive well worth it! The Arenal volcano measures at least 1,633 metres high. It is conically shaped with a crater 140 metres in diameter!

Once we arrive to the Arenal volcano, we will be at the final hotel/resort of the trip where you will have a chance to relax in the onsite hot springs of the Arenal Manoa Hotel while admiring the volcano.

(Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 7 (Friday)
October 28 Hike Arenal Lake (Arenal Manoa Hotel)

Today we will hike to the Arenal Volcano, an active volcano. This is a great hike with your naturalist as he will explain the history of the volcano and give you a chance to visit different geological formations. This is around a 2 hour hike and will be mixed with flat sound to rough surfaces of needing to use all four limbs.

We will hike through the Lava Flow trail from 1968´s eruption, traversing into the rainforest and deep into nature enjoying 360° view points of the Arenal Volcano accompanied by the breathtaking Arenal Lake.

We will then take you out to lunch in the town of La Fortuna and a chance to stroll around town and buy some coffee or souvenirs. In the afternoon we will relax at the hotel and then get ready for our evening festivities that we have planned to celebrate the final night of this unforgettable adventure!

Our farewell dinner will be held at a local family owned farm where we will experience an authentic one of a kind dinner that the family will cook for us :)

If we have time for a nice restorative yoga class this evening we will s t r e t c h out before a long flight home tomorrow :) This will be determined by how late we return home from dinner on this evening.

(Meals: Breakfast & Dinner)

Day 8 (Saturday)
October 29 Departures

Today you will be transferred to the SJO airport and we will be departing as a group at 7:30 AM from Arenal Manoa and arriving at San Jose SJO at 10 AM. This allows time for a mid-day departure. If you must book an earlier flight, we can set up a transfer for you to get to SJO earlier.
