SUP YO was founded by Jana Olenio, yoga instructor, travel agent and NH native, and was created from pure passion for nature and outdoor adventure. SUP YO was originally formed in 2011 as a paddleboard yoga company that over time evolved into many other outdoor adventure offerings from day hikes to weeklong worldwide adventure trips.

Barre On Board:

Join local fitness instructor, Carly Fauth, Founder of FitFunCarly, for a 75 minute Barre inspired Stand Up Paddleboard Class! Come prepared to smile, laugh and lengthen and tone your entire body while focusing on strengthening the core. This class is suitable for All Levels. You do NOT need any Barre or SUP experience!

SUP CORE

Engage your abs like never before as you move through a series of core-strengthening exercises, balancing on your paddleboard for an extra challenge. Whether you’re looking to build strength, improve stability, or simply switch up your workout routine, this class will leave your core burning and your spirit refreshed. No paddleboarding or core experience necessary—just bring your energy and get ready to power up your core on the water! This class is suitable for All Levels. You do NOT need experience!

SUPilates:

Strengthen, lengthen, and stabilize with this Pilates-inspired workout on the water!. This class combines the core-sculpting benefits of Pilates with the added challenge of balancing on a paddleboard, engaging deep stabilizing muscles for a full-body workout. Flow through controlled movements, breathwork, and focused exercises designed to improve posture, flexibility, and core strength—all while surrounded by the serenity of nature. No paddle boarding experience is needed—just come ready to move, breathe, and connect with the water! This class is suitable for All Levels. You do NOT need experience!

    This morning, SUP YOGA and then Paddling the Harbor was absolutely a best last SUP hurrah!!! Being a true Bostonian and Being in Boston Harbor experiencing the historical waters of New England dating back 345 years is pretty special!!! Julie is truly an amazing leader trouping us thru our last paddle fling!!! Today was pretty awesome and a lifetime moment…pure gratitude and the weather…today was perfect in every sense!!! Soaking it all in with sheer!

  • Ali is patient with new students and explains each pose as well as offering alternatives. Doing yoga poses on water is so serene and restorative. Nothing like it! I’ve introduced the class to 4 friends so far 🙂 and look forward to more. Highly recommend the experience if you’re considering it.

Frequently asked questions

Who can do SUP Yoga?
  • For SUP Yoga classes, students should have some prior yoga experience.
  • For Fitness classes, no experience is required.
  • A SUP lesson is suggested but not required.
  • Must know how to swim. If you do not know how to swim, you will be required to wear a lifejacket throughout class.
What should I bring?
  • Bathing suit
  • Yoga pants/shorts
  • Tank or Tee
  • Long sleeve (weather depending)
  • Change of clothes
  • Water bottle
  • Dry bag (optional)
  • Sunscreen & Sunglasses
  • Towel
  • NO COTTON!
DO I need my own anchor?

An anchor is included with each board rental (10 total). If you are bringing your own board (BYOB) limited anchors are available through SUP YO. Please check with us prior to bringing your own board to make sure an anchor can be provided or, you can just bring your own! Bringing your own can be as simple as using a small recyclable bag (small Lululemon bags work great for this), add a few medium size rocks from the beach and a (depth specific) line to attach to your board and you’re ready to rock n roll.

Damaged or Lost Equipment Clause

In the event of damaged or lost equipment, including anchors, paddles, SUP’s and PFD’s, it is 100% the responsibility of the renter to repair or replace what has been lost or damaged.

Payments & Cancellation Policy
  • The per person cost includes board rental, paddle, anchor, PFD (personal floatation device) and instruction by a certified SUP Yoga instructor.
  • We offer a $10 Discount to bring your own board (BYOB), paddle & anchor (BYOB available in most locations)
  • Since classes sell out in advance, we have a strict cancellation policy. Please read carefully below:
  • If you need to cancel or make a change to your reservation, you must do so more than 48 hours before the class/paddle start time to receive a credit/exchange/transfer. No credits/exchanges/transfers are issued for changes made within 48 hours of the class/paddle start time. NO REFUNDS will be issued for a customer-requested cancellation.   If class is canceled by SUP YO due to inclement weather (thunderstorms, high winds or other severe conditions), limited attendance or other reason, you may exchange the value of your ticket to another class/event or you may request a refund. Refunds will only be honored for cancellations made by SUP YO  and must be requested within 24 hours of class. Outside of 24 hours, a credit may be issued. 
  • Late Policy If a student is more than 10 minutes late for class, the class will begin without said student and that student will forfeit his/her ticket.  No shows = no refunds.This protocol has been put in place for the consideration of both our customers and our instructors. We value your time as well as ours, so if it’s safe to do so, we will always try to keep our scheduled/booked classes. Keeping an open line of communication between our staff and our customers is always our goal so that customers are fully aware of our weather protocol. Our intention is always to share the events we have curated for you.  We love what we do – and we want you to experience it, too – so we will always aim to get you out on the water, SAFELY.
