SUP YO was founded by Jana Olenio, yoga instructor, travel agent and NH native, and was created from pure passion for nature and outdoor adventure. SUP YO was originally formed in 2011 as a paddleboard yoga company that over time evolved into many other outdoor adventure offerings from day hikes to weeklong worldwide adventure trips.

Arrival & Departure

  • Please plan to arrive Bergen (BGO) before noon on June 19th, 2025.
  • Depart Oslo (OSL) on June 26th, anytime

Ground Transfers

  • Transfers on day 1 are included and will be provided for you on arrival.
  • On the last day, the transfer to Vigra airport is included. Your domestic flight to Oslo not included. Please plan to book this with your international flights. Flight is approx $130 USD. 

Cancellation Policy

All reservations that are cancelled will an incur a $1000 penalty (your non-refundable deposit). Final payment due 90 days before retreat. 89-60 days = 50% refund, 59-0 days = no refunds unless we fill your spot. If your spot is filled, a 100% refund will be made minus $200 admin fee.

Itinerary and pricing

Day 1, June 19
Arrival in Bergen, the Viking capital Bergen, a charming small city and the former capital of the Vikings, welcomes you upon arrival!  Enjoy an organized transfer from the airport to the city center via light rail, a journey of approximately 30 minutes. Your cozy and welcoming accommodations will be provided in a centrally located hotel. After checking in, we will enjoy a welcome dinner, meet our new friends and receive an introduction to the epic adventure that lies ahead. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll through Bergen's UNESCO heritage site, Bergen Bryggen, soaking in its historic charm and picturesque views.

Day 2, June 20
Travel like the locals along the Atlantic Coast Begin your day with an early morning coastal boat sightseeing tour, immersing yourself in the local experience of commuting via public transport. This scenic journey along the coast includes stops at remote locations to pick up and drop off locals, providing a unique glimpse into everyday life. Arrive at your destination by noon and enjoy a brief 15-minute transfer to the island hotel. Upon arrival, savor a warm lunch and proceed with check-in, provided rooms are available at this early hour. Following lunch, set off on a leisurely two-hour hike to the Flona viewpoint, enjoying the picturesque scenery of the island. If desired, this hike can easily be extended to explore further. Engage in yoga on the beach adjacent to the village or indoors at the hotel, allowing for relaxation and rejuvenation amidst the natural beauty of the island. Additionally, we will allocate some time to prepare our bikes for tomorrow's bike and hike tour, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.

Day 3, June 21
 Bike and hike the Atlantic islands After breakfast, gear up for a 1 hour and 15-minute bike ride along a flat road that skirts the island, leading you to the beach. From there, embark on a 4-hour hike up the Veten seacliff, where you'll enjoy a picnic lunch with breathtaking views. After descending, return to the beach for an optional invigorating arctic swim! Then, bike back along the same route to Kalvåg. If the combined hiking and biking seems too strenuous, we offer the option of hiking only. This can be done either directly from the hotel or with a transfer to the beach and the sea cliff. Today's biking totals 26 miles, while hiking ranges from 4 to 5.5 miles with an elevation gain and loss of 1,800 feet. Wind down with yoga on the ground floor of the hotel building, followed by the option to indulge in an invigorating fjord sauna or spa treatment, providing the perfect end to an active day of exploration and adventure.

Day 4, June 22
Hike Mt Kårnyken along the Ålfotenfjord After breakfast and checkout, embark on a scenic 1-hour transfer by private bus to the Nordfjord, passing along Europe's highest sea cliff, Mt. Hornelen, offering majestic views along the way. Begin your day's adventure with a hike to the summit of Kårnykken. This round-trip hike spans 8.5 miles with an elevation gain and loss of 2,600 feet, traversing partially gravel roads and rocky terrain. Expect approximately 6 hours of walking, with stunning vistas throughout and an especially captivating view from the summit. Following the hike, enjoy a brief 15-minute transfer to the ferry. The crossing of the Nordfjord takes another 15 minutes, followed by a final 15-minute journey to the hotel. Upon arrival, you'll have some free time, with the option to visit the Sagastad museum, home to the world's largest Viking ship, providing a fascinating glimpse into Norway's rich maritime history. Wind down with yoga in the hotel garden. Dinner tonight is your choice in town.

Day 5, June 23
Explore the Hjørundfjord by bike and boat Upon checking out, embark on a picturesque bike ride directly from the hotel, traversing scenic backroads, alongside rivers, and amidst mountains to the quaint village of Bjørke situated on the tranquil Hjørundfjord. The cycling tour covers 28 miles with an elevation gain and loss of 1,800 feet, lasting approximately 3 hours. From here, we continue to a local vineyard where our lunch awaits, complete with wine tasting.  Following lunch, indulge in a private boat charter, bikes included, for a 30-minute sightseeing excursion through the breathtaking Hjørundfjord, culminating at the waterfront hotel in Sæbø. Spend the afternoon unwinding with yoga by the fjord at the hotel, soaking in the stunning scenery, or exploring the grocery shop featured in the movie "Black Widow" in this charming little town. This leisurely afternoon offers the perfect opportunity to relax and immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of the fjords.

Day 6, June 24
Hike Mount Saksa Following breakfast, board the ferry with our bikes and embark on a 15-minute bike ride to reach the trailhead, marking the beginning of our ascent towards the EPIC summit of Saksa. Towering at 3,300 feet, this mountain offers unparalleled vistas where two fjords converge. The hike spans a mere 1.9 miles but ascends 0.62 miles vertically. Take moments to catch your breath and marvel at the breathtaking panoramas as you ascend. Will you reach the summit? The trail is somewhat technical and steep, potentially slippery under certain conditions. A halfway point offers a scenic viewpoint and a hideaway for a well-deserved rest. Expect a total hiking time of approximately 6 hours, with an elevation gain and loss of 3,300 feet. Upon descending to the trailhead, retrieve your bikes and coast down to the waterfront café for a refreshing beverage or perhaps a plunge into the fjord. Afterwards, we pedal our bikes back to the ferry terminal (a 10-minute ride) and return to the hotel on the opposite side of the fjord. In the evening, indulge in a special dinner experience at a 1000-year-old farm just 4 kilometers from the hotel, known as Rekkedalstunet. Transportation arrangements can be made if needed. Enjoy local delicacies, captivating storytelling by the owners, and exquisite Italian wines from their own selection. This unique culinary experience promises to be a highlight of your Norwegian adventure.

Day 7, June 25
Bike and Cruise the Norangs valley and Geirangerfjord After breakfast and checking out, begin your bike journey from the hotel, crossing the fjord via ferry and continuing along the Norangsfjord. As we leave the fjord behind, we ascend into the dramatic scenery of the Norangsdalen valley, flanked by towering rock faces on both sides. En route, we pass charming summer farms and catch glimpses of hanging glaciers before reaching Hellesylt. In the Norangsvalley, we make two stops: first at the mini water power plant, responsible for generating 99% of Norway's electric energy through water or wind power, and second at the Lyngstøl lake for a photo opportunity—a breathtaking locale with a rich and dramatic history. The journey covers 20 miles and takes approximately 2.5 hours. From Hellesylt, we embark on a ferry cruise through the renowned UNESCO World Heritage listed Geirangerfjord. Along the way, marvel at the impressive Seven Sisters waterfall, cascading down 1,350 feet. The cruise lasts just over an hour. After some free time in Geiranger, we transfer to the Art Nouveau town of Ålesund. Optional relaxing yoga class this evening.

Day 8, June 26
Fly to Oslo, and onto the USA After breakfast we will take a 15 min transfer to Vigra airport for a domestic flight to Oslo international airport. Here we will say our goodbyes..
